I originally met Becky last year at Laura & Jordan’s wedding and I was excited to get to hang out with everyone again. Although I confess when I heard Jordan was going to be the Emcee I got a bit nervous Becky and Ryan had NOTHING to be nervous about however as the day went off without a hitch. And it didn’t matter that the weather was a bit on the rainy side because Becky lit up every space she was in. I was so excited to film Matt & Kelly’s wedding!! Kelly and I connected through another bride (her friend Dawn who I also adore) and we exchanged countless emails throughout the year and occasionally we would even discuss her wedding It was amazing to see all the details, hopes & dreams come together to create the most magical wedding day. Throughout the whole day Kelly was so laid back and up for anything which really made for some great footage…how many brides would agree to get into a paddle boat on their wedding day?!? Jeff & Stephanie (or should I say Stephen & Stephanie – LOL) had the perfect wedding day. Beautiful weather, Limos on time, speeches that made you laugh until you cried (seriously Steph’s Dad’s speech still makes me giggle), awesome food and they were surrounded by the people who love them the most. Being at Rob & Jessica’s wedding was like being an extra on an episode of “Glee”…or if you are from my generation that would be “Fame” It was soooo much fun and so entertaining. They sang in the church, they sang at the reception, there were bag pipes, ceilidh dancing, more singing, more dancing and even more dancing! And it was obvious from the looks on the faces of everyone as they spun around the dance floor that I was not the only one who enjoyed myself. I had so much fun at Nick and Ashlee’s wedding. They were a referral from a previous wedding couple (Thanks Chantelle & Damian!) and being there was like a family reunion! They held their reception at The Cowan Park Banquet Hall in Woodstock and it was FABULOUS! There was so much love in that room. And so many surprises as well. Ashlee surprised her Dad with a uniquely personal rendition of “Candle in the Wind” which had us all crying. Then both Ashlee & Nick were surprised with an amazing slide show that chronicled their lives and them falling in love. They also had one of the Groomsmen surprise them by getting up on stage and singing to them. A lovely night and I was thrilled to be a part of it! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! I know starting every post with “I LOVE this couple” can start to sound “cliché” or fake but I seriously LOVE this couple so it’s worth the risk I knew from our first meeting that they would be a blast to work with. They were both easy-going and had a “no stress” attitude. They didn’t disappoint. I really had so much fun with them on their special day. I love when my day feels more like play and less like “work” and that is exactly how it was spending the day with this couple and all of their loved ones. James & Lindsay were married at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. The Ceremony was outdoors and they could not have asked for better weather. Both of their fathers had passed away and they were using Butterflies as a means to symbolize their presence. The event staff later told the couple that as they were setting up the venue there were two butterflies that kept flitting about checking everything out. It’s amazing how this world works. It was also Amazing to see Lindsay in her dress. Stunning. She is beautiful inside and out and she and James are perfect for each other. Wedding season is in full swing and I have to say that so far this year has turned out some of the BEST couples!! I am so lucky to have brides & grooms that start out as clients and end up as friends. Julia and Chris are no exception. They were so fun to be around that it was hard to say goodbye to them at the end of the night. Julia was a stunning bride and her energy was contagious. The bridal party was a great group of friends who made my face hurt from laughing and the speeches (my favorite part of weddings) really reflected the love and support that both Chris & Julia have from their families. A.J and Andrea got married on 1/1/11 so A.J has NO excuses for forgetting their Anniversary! LOL! One thing I know I will never forget was the DECOR! They really went all out for this Winter Wonderland Wedding and I was in awe of how pretty it was. The only thing able to outshine the room was the Bride herself who looked stunning in her wedding dress. I swear I didn’t know a waist could be that tiny! When I first met Andrea I was instantly a fan of hers and impressed by how much she has on her plate (Med School!) and how capable she is of still managing to get everything done to an impressively high standard! Daryl & Krystal

Daryl and Krystal’s wedding day began with EVERY Groom’s nightmare…a missing bride at the church!!! There was a mix up with the Limo company and they were sitting outside the WRONG house while Krystal frantically made her way to the church with the ever popular “Plan B”. They were so laid back and it was obvious that they delay was not important and that NOTHING was going to stop them from getting married and spending their lives together. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Krystal had slipped on those smokin’ hot shoes and walked the entire way to the church! Trust me she is one determined chick. When it came time to take pictures of the wedding party we pulled up to two gated mansions on Walkers Line. They were gorgeous! Apparently Krystal drove by them quite a bit and thought they were the PERFECT place to get her wedding day pictures taken. So she marched up, rang the bell and asked. That is just the kind of girl she is! And if you met her you would understand why BOTH home owners said “Yes!”.
