Filming
Currently I have a Cannon GL2 as my main camera and a Sony Handicam TRV38 as my secondary and back-up camera.
The Ceremony
I use both cameras during the ceremony. One manned by myself and one unmanned on a tripod in a discreet location.
As well, I use a wireless mic on the groom to clearly record the vows. This microphone is strong enough to capture audio from the Bride & Groom and the officiant.
The Reception
For the reception I have an on board 50 watt light that is indirect (no bright lights in your eyes) and allows just enough illumination to properly light the subjects without being offensive to your guests!
I also bring a hand held microphone that feeds audio directly into the camera to record “Guest Comments” without the distraction of the surrounding ambient noise.
Editing
I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 for video editing.
